Auto Air Transparent Colors are transparent with a semi-gloss finish. Use over lighter shades, mix with other colors, or layer over other colors. Auto Air Transparent Colors are recommended for use with airbrush sizes 0.3mm or larger. A 0.2mm size airbrush may be used when colors are thinned with Auto Air Reducer.
Transparent Colors are a versatile part of the Auto Air Colors product line and can be used for a variety of effects. Transparent Colors can be mixed with other Auto Air Colors series for custom blends. Mixing Transparent Colors with 4100 Series Aluminum Bases creates custom metallic colors. Transparent Colors also create a candied appearance when applied over 4100 Series Auto Air Colors.
Semi-Opaque Colors can be tinted with Transparent Colors for custom blends by either directly mixing the colors or layering light coats of Transparent Colors over the Semi-Opaque Colors.
Transparent Colors work well when applied in light coats over 4300 or 4500 Series Colors. Apply 1-2 light coats of Auto Air Base Coat Sealer Dark, 1-2 coats 4300 or 4500 Series Colors followed by 2-5 light coats of Auto Air Transparent Colors. Applying Transparent Colors over these series creates custom blends.
